Story of Krimgen
小さな子供を目の前にし、触れた時、そこに自然の美しさを体感し、生きていていちばん心が揺さぶられました。私たち人間の生きる真実そのものが、小さな子たちの体や目の奥にあります。その感動を伝えたくて、小さい子たちと自然の絵を描き始めたのがKrimgenの始まりです。
そして絵を仕事にするために、ポストカードを作って販売し始めました。旅するように色々なところで暮らしながら、たくさんの美しい景色や文化、芸術を見ました。ポストカードを様々な方に手に取っていただけるようになり、日常的に皆さんがそばに置いておけるものをKrimgenの絵で作りたくなり、いろいろな文具雑貨も作り始めました。集めていただけたら、そこにKrimgenの世界が作れるようなものばかりです。
そうこうしているうちに、世界中の方々、日本の方々に、小さな商品たちを手に取っていただけるようになりました。
コロナ禍を経て、旅するような生活を一旦やめて、日本の広島で暮らし始めました。広島を選んだ理由の一つは、過去に原爆を作ったニューメキシコ州ロスアラモス市に住む機会があったからです。それならば、被爆地に住むことも私には必要だと思いました。これは広島に住む他のたくさんの理由のうちの一つです。広島に来て多くのことを学びました。
広島では、Krimgenの世界をギュッと詰め込んで体験してもらえる小さなお店も作りました。想像の世界が実現したような空間で、広島県内、国内、海外から様々なお客様が来てくださいます。
Krimgenとしての活動が15年を過ぎた今、"Krimgen"とはさてなんだろうと考えると、それはおそらく、「人にとって必要なもの」というコンセプトそのものです。私自身が生きていくために必要だったもの、きっと皆さんにも必要なもの、を絵にして、目の前に現実として見たかったのだと思います。
Krimgenの絵や商品をお迎えいただいた方が、そのコンセプトに触れ、自分自身を大切にして毎日を生きていくことができれば、こんなに嬉しいことはありません。
私が生きていくのに必要だった想像が、誰かの毎日にもきっと役に立ってくれますように...

自社のオンラインストアでの販売及び全国の催事に定期的に出品・出店しております。アメリカ、ヨーロッパ、アジア地域、海外各店への卸売を行っています。
描画手法：
鉛筆やペン、水彩、アクリル絵の具などアナログな手法で絵を描き、Adobeソフトなどデジタルな手法で商品化しています。

Thank you very much for coming to Krimgen's website. Krimgen's all products are made from original art works, created by Tomoko Krimgen. She is an artist who specializes in drawing children and nature. Our purpose is to develop the world of her art, "to express a peaceful and safe world and relaxed creatures there,'' to as many people as possible through the products we create. Her imaginary world looks like one of ideal realms. We hope that her imagination will give you peace of mind. Through everything from creating pictures to selling miscellaneous goods, he continues to engage in artistic activities that question what humanity is. She creates small products that bring a sense of security and warmth, and aims to help those who adopt her to cherish themselves and feel calm by seeing these products in their lives. 1982: born in Japan 2010: Started drawing pictures and selling postcards as "Krimgen". 2011: ph.D. of science (geology and geochemistry) at Tokyo Institute of Technology 2011: Getting started in earnest my career as an artist 2011-2014: living in the US 2024-2022: living in Austria, EU Dec. 2019: "Krimgen LLC" established in Japan May 2022: moved to Japan (Hiroshima) July 2023: Opening of atelier store in Hiroshima, Japan
When I saw and touched a small child, I experienced the beauty of nature, and it was the most deeply moving moment of my life. The very truth of human existence resides in the bodies and eyes of these little children. Wanting to convey that emotion, I began drawing pictures of children and nature, which marked the beginning of Krimgen.
Then, to make a living from my art, I started creating and selling postcards. Living in various places as if traveling, I saw many beautiful landscapes, cultures, and art. As my postcards became popular with many people, I wanted to create things using Krimgen's art that people could keep close at hand in their daily lives, so I started making various stationery and miscellaneous goods. Each item, when collected, creates a world of Krimgen.
Eventually, my small products began to be enjoyed by people all over the world, including within Japan.
After the COVID-19 pandemic, I temporarily stopped my nomadic lifestyle and began living in Hiroshima, Japan. One reason I chose Hiroshima was that I had previously had the opportunity to live in Los Alamos, New Mexico, the city where the atomic bomb was created. Therefore, I felt it was also necessary for me to live in a city affected by the atomic bomb. This is just one of many reasons why I live in Hiroshima. I've learned so much since coming here.
In Hiroshima, I also created a small shop where people can experience the world of Krimgen in a condensed form. It's a space that feels like a world of imagination has come to life, and we have a diverse range of customers from within Hiroshima Prefecture, across Japan, and even overseas.
Now, after more than 15 years of activity as Krimgen, when I think about what "Krimgen" truly is, I think it's probably the concept of "things that people need for living." I wanted to capture in paintings the things I needed to live, and the things I believe everyone else needs, and make them a reality before my eyes.
There's nothing that would make me happier than if those who welcome Krimgen's paintings and products into their lives can connect with this concept and live each day cherishing themselves.
I hope that the imagination that I needed to live will be useful in someone else's daily life...
